“Return to the Lord your God, who is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.” Joel 2:13

Ash Wednesday begins Lent

Worship on Ash Wednesday calls us to repentance and self-examination, and reminds us all “that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Lenten disciplines traditionally have included fasting, prayer and works of love. I invite you to practice a Lenten discipline, “resisting whatever leads us away from the love of God and neighbor.”  We are invited to enjoy the life our Creator intended: “We are created to experience joy in communion with God, to love one another, and to live in harmony with creation.”  (ELW, LDE) Join us at 7pm at the Catholic Center as we worship together with other members of the Body of Christ.

                                                                     In Christ, Pastor Paul
